On Friday 2nd February, the EDU-ARCTIC Consortium closed the first stage of the Arctic Competition.

The winning projects from the Arctic Competition last year had a wide range of subjects, from SOS backpacks to waterbloom in Arctic waters.

When I opened my mailbox among many e-mails that I get every day, one especially attracted my attention.

The adventure begun last February 2017 on a grey winter school day, when my Natural Science colleague asked me in the teacher room:

Wouldn’t it be exiting to join an Arctic competition and win a place on an expedition to the Arctic in Svalbard or Northern Norway this summer?

On 4th November the EDU-ARCTIC project were a part of the big National Conference of the Community for Science Education organised in Bucharest (Romania) for STEM teachers.

How often do you get the opportunity to meet extraordinary STEM teachers from 15 countries? Institute of Geophysics Polish Academy of Sciences had a pleasure to host such group in Warsaw, Poland, at the end of September (23-24th Sept) during one of 3 EDU-ARCTIC EDUCATORS’ FORA.
